Welcome, and thanks for visiting my website !
The European tour has been amazing so far ! I've met so many interesting people and played with so many fantastic musicians! It's also been quite tiring. As I've logged a considerable amount of miles on trains, planes, buses and cars traversing the continent, and am currently enjoying a bit of down time before starting again in late April. Please check back soon, as dates will be confirmed and posted within the next few weeks :)

A charismatic and compelling performer who's hard swinging and soulful straight-ahead jazz guitar style has won over audiences around the world. Benson McGlashan is a critically acclaimed young jazz artist who has toured internationally in over 15 countries, performing in such diverse cities as: Paris, New York, Montreal, Berlin, Shanghai, Amsterdam, Vienna, Seoul, Barcelona, Prague, Bangkok, Hamburg and Brussels amongst many others.
For over a half a decade, he has maintained a commendably relentless international touring schedule, which has led to him slowly but surely emerging out of total obscurity and on to earning himself a steadily growing international name and reputation as a serious up and coming straight-ahead jazz guitarist.
He was perhaps best described in print by the heralded German newspaper DIE ZEIT by journalist and music critic, Ralph Geisenhanslüke who wrote that :
“ McGlashan looks a little bit like a young Johnny Depp, but his playing reminds one of the cat-like sleekness of Wes Montgomery, the eloquence of Joe Pass and the melancholy of Jim Hall."
